About me
My name is Nika Eterovič and I am an early childhood educator with a decade of experience working with children and parents. I was raised in Slovenia, a small country in Central Europe, by amazing parents, whose love never stopped growing for each other and have always, with their ongoing 37 years of partnership, inspired me to create that for myself and support those around me.
My love for children and education started from a young age ( I remember looking up to my teachers, wishing to be like them one day) which led me to continue my high school education in a Secondary Upper School specialized in Preschool Education (SVSGUGL in Ljubljana, Slovenia).
Over the 4 years, my passion grew even stronger and I decided to continue deepening my knowledge of childhood education by entering the Faculty of Education- majoring in Early Childhood Education in Ljubljana, Slovenia. During my faculty years I simultaneously worked as a kindergarten assistant in a public kindergarten in Ljubljana, where I put the theory into practice and grew into a teacher I always strived to be. The 5-year work experience allowed me to learn from my co-workers how to, not only educate the children but also listen to the parents and show the needed support and guidance.
After receiving a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2019, I applied for the CELTA teaching certification and moved to Budapest, Hungary for a month, where I gained knowledge and experience in teaching English to adults.
Slovenia always felt too small for me and the world seemed to be calling my name non-stop so I decided to move abroad only a month after coming back from Budapest.
I moved to Barcelona, Spain in the summer of 2019 and started my teaching career at a kindergarten where I got the opportunity to work with international families, single parents, and LGBTIQA+ parents.
The kindergarten offered a Montessori-based education which gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge on child education even more. I took a course at Montessori Institute Prague and became a certified AMI Montessori Teacher Assistant.
Throughout my 4 years of working together with a very diverse range of families and parents, I realized that parents often feel alone, confused, or question themselves about the challenges that parenthood brings along. And this insight into the world of parents inspired me to certify myself as a parent coach and be there for the parents. Be there for them to feel listened to, understood, supported, and motivated to create goals toward a more harmonious family situation.
At the end of 2023, I moved to The Netherlands, where I continue with my love for teaching but also feel committed to supporting you on your parenting journey and helping you build a strong and nurturing relationship with your children, spouse, or others. I believe that with the right guidance and support, you can overcome challenges and create a positive and loving environment for your family.
